After the hearing was concluded, the appointed hearing officer deemed the issued citation to be upheld for the 5.28.085 sidewalk vendor ordinance. • Compliance Officer Human inspected 66072 14th Street. This property is a public nuisance and deemed substandard. A public hearing declared an RV in the side yard “in-operable”, and ordered it removed. Upon re-inspection, the RV was voluntarily removed by the occupants. • Compliance Officers Messer and Human distributed “Illegal Fireworks” flyers to businesses located within the city. The flyer informs residents that there is a $1,000.00 fine for discharging illegal fireworks. The flyer also provides contact information for anyone who would like to report the illegal discharge of a firework. • Code Compliance Officers will be conducting illegal firework patrol shifts in tandem with Police Officers July 1st through July 4th. • Compliance Manager Newsom attended trial for the abandoned property at 1130 Palm Dr. The trial was continued for two months due to the property being sold at the recent County tax auction.
