When anyone is caught illegally dumping, they are issued an administrative citation. Additionally, Code reports trash at these sites to Desert Valley Disposal for removal or opens a case as necessary. • Code Compliance retrieved thirty-three abandoned shopping carts from the public right-of-way. • Thirty-five shopping carts were picked up and hauled away from the corporate yard by shopping cart retrieval companies. • Two Code Compliance Officer’s completed the California Association of Code Enforcement Module 1 in the month of August. 1 Item Number: 2. Page 1 of 2 Page 8 of 13 Truck Report T33 recorded 2 responses in City of Desert Hot Springs from 8/1/2022 1:40:11 PM to 8/31/2022 1:40:11 PM Significant Incidents 22CARRU114177 On , CAL FIRE / Riverside County Fire Department responded to a commercial ringing alarm at an indoor marijuana grow facility in the 65000 block of Two Bunch Palms Trail in the city of Desert Hot Springs. The first arriving fire engine reported a large commercial building with nothing showing from the exterior. Upon further investigation, fire crews found smoke coming from a 2nd story marijuana grow room. The buildings fire protection system extinguished the fire prior to fire department arrival. The fire was determined to have started by a failed light within the grow room that caught hanging plastic on fire. Fire department personnel assisted with smoke and water removal. There were no civilian or firefighter injuries on this incident. 22CARRU120693 On , CAL FIRE / Riverside County firefighters responded to multiple reports or a residential structure fire in the 19500 block of Beacon Way in the City of Desert Hot Springs. Responding units observed visible smoke and flames while enroute. The first arriving engine reported a single wide mobile home, fully involved and on the ground. Firefighters began an offensive fire attack, and were able to quickly control the fire. A primary and secondary search revealed the residence was unoccupied. Units will remain on scene for mop up and overhaul into the evening. No civilian or firefighter injuries were reported 9/1/2022 1:40:12PM Item Number: 3.
