Mitchell spoke about attending various events and public safety and school resource officers. Commissioner M. Mitchell spoke about shift changes at Jeeter and having future meetings in different locations. Commissioner Trejo spoke about the homeless point in time count. Vice Chairman Lozano spoke about future meetings in other locations and going to other cities Public Safety Commission meetings and Crime Victims Week. During this time of year, our department works towards recovering all outstanding administrative citations and abatement costs associated with the 2023 fiscal year. • Compliance Officer Human opened a case in April 2023 for unmaintained landscaping and a vehicle leaking motor oil onto a driveway and into the city gutters at 9470 West Drive. Enforcement efforts were taken by Officer Human, and several notices were issued to the property owner. The vehicle was removed, the oil cleaned up and landscape was maintained. Please see the before and after photos below. • Compliance Officer Human opened a case in June 2022 for illegal construction at 66261 3rd Street. The property owner was illegally adding a room addition to the single-family residential property, and illegal windows without pulling permits or having a building inspection. A notice was mailed to the property owner with corrective actions stipulated on the document. After several months of Code Compliance Officer Sartin received a complaint from the Saint Elizabeth Church about an overgrown tamarisk tree. The tree posed as a concern for the church’s roof. A notice was issued to the property owner of the tamarisk tree, and it was abated by a contractor hired by the property owner. • Compliance Officer Human opened a case in March 2022 for visual blight and property maintenance violations at 65759 6th Street. After continued enforcement efforts done by Officer Human, the property owner sold the property. The new buyer agreed to a buyer’s agreement and fixed all outstanding violations left by the previous owner. Please see before and after photos below. • Code Compliance has demolished six of the seven properties of the Sahara Hotel, and the abandoned hotels surrounding the Sahara Hotel. 1 Item Number: 1. Page 1 of 2 Page 14 of 18 Truck Report recorded 0 responses in from 5/1/2023 1:40:12 PM to 5/31/2023 1:40:12 PM Significant Incidents 23CARRU076303 On , CAL FIRE/Riverside County Fire Department resources were dispatched to a traffic collision with multiple vehicles and possible fire on Two Bunch Palms and Little Morongo Rd. The first arriving Company Officer reported 4 vehicles involved with 4 to 5 patients and requested additional Fire Engines and ground ambulances to respond to the scene.
