Community and Government Affairs Committee Meeting Minutes Monday, June 10, 2024 6:00 PM Present: Councilpersons Ben Bell, Elizabeth Wyckoff, and Joe Frederick, Borough ManagerJohn Davis, and Recreation and Special Events Coordinator Caitlin Hernandez. Approval of May 13, 2024 Minutes. Minutes were approved as submitted. "How Doylestown Borough Works" Proposal. Caitlin shared details on Larry"s proposal for short, informational videos to be developed as a way to educate the community on Borough procedures and answer common questions. Topics will be compiled and reviewed with Department heads. Economic Development Report. Caitlin reviewed several new businesses and a handful of commercial vacancies in the Borough. Target is on schedule to open in July. Social Media Report. Caitlin reviewed the continued increase in social media interaction and positive feedback on the Borough's spotlight on local restaurants and businesses. New/Old Business. Ben shared the Youth Recognition Award will be presented at July's Borough Council meeting. Representative Tim Brennan's office has asked to participate.
