Community and Government Affairs Committee Meeting Minutes Monday, April 14, 2025 6:00 PM Present: Councilpersons Ben Bell, Elizabeth Wyckoff, Connor O'Hanlon, and Larry Browne, as well as Parks and Recreation Director Caitlin Hernandez. Approval of March 10, 2024 Minutes. Minutes were approved as submitted. Youth Leadership Award. Committee members discussed the impressive nominations, decided to award one nominee, and voted to forward that suggested to Borough Council for approval. CBSD Linden and Doyle Elementary Schools Resolution. The Committee reviewed the plans CBSD has been discussing regarding the changes and merging of school buildings. The current position of the Borough, and proposed resolution, is in support of keeping the existing school buildings open. All members voted in favor of the Resolution, apart from Connor, who abstained. Economic Development Report. Caitlin reviewed several commercial vacancies in the Borough, as well as a handful of new and changing businesses. Social Media Report. Caitlin reviewed the continued increase in social media interaction on all platforms and positive feedback on the Borough's activities. New/Old Business. None.
