Human Relations Commission Meeting

Borough of Doylestown Human Relations Commission Wednesday, May 22, 2024 - 7pm Attendance: Fred Stanczak, Maxine Katz, Stephen Albert, Christopher Baccash, John Fraser, Freda Savana, Stephanie O'Mara, and Student Member Thomas O"Reilly. The Minutes of the March 2024 meeting were approved as submitted. Human Relations Leadership Award. The Commission reviewed the nominees at length and shared their votes. The nominee chosen will be provided to Borough Council to be announced at their next meeting. Community Immigration Forum. Several organizations have been contacted and are interested in being included in the forum. The Commission has also been invited to participate in the Stand Up For Justice event being held at Puck in June. The Commission agreed to attend with information to share with attendees. Old/New Business: A community member attended to share her concerns on children emigrating here without proper help and guidance and she was hopeful educators and other experts involved in the Immigration Forum could help educate others.
