Human Relations Commission Meeting

HUMAN RELATIONS COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES September 25, 2024, 7:00 p.m. Attendees: Stephen Albert, Freda Savana, Fred Stanczak, Doreen Stratton, and Stephanie O"Mara. Borough Manager John Davis was also present. Minutes of the May 2024 meeting were approved as submitted. Right now, it looks like the forum will take place in 2025, likely February 26. Immigration Rights Action - Heidi Roux is confirmed as a participant. Hollie Woodward, ELL Specialist for the Council Rock School District is also interested. Stephen met with the new Executive Director ofVITA, but felt the forum wasn't a good fit due to the desire of VITA's immigrant clients to keep a low profile in these times. A representative ofthe Anne Silverman Community Health Clinic is also a possibility. Someone will reach out to Maxine Katz to see where this stands. Fred will reach out to Danny Thomas at the Peace Center to see if he is willing to facilitate or suggest someone who can. Old/New Business: None. Adjournment: 7:25 p.m. John H.
