Park and Recreation Board Meeting Minutes Tuesday, November 5, 2025 – 7:00 p.m. James Lannon, Gary Harris, Doreen McVaugh, Bob Huether, Patrick McCauley, Molly Crotty, Karissa Elser, Tucker Brennan, and Caitlin Hernandez, Director of Parks and Recreation, were present. The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. The minutes from the October 7, 2025, meeting were approved as submitted. Caitlin shared a Booorough Bash Recap. Two hundred seventy-five children attended the event this year. Caitlin would like to explore ways to have multiple waves of children to help alleviate the bottleneck of everyone arriving at once. The Board shared other ways to improve future trunk-or-treat events. Caitlin gave the Recreation Director Report. Burpee Pavilion had 76 total rentals in 2025. The pavilion will be winterized in November. A new fence latch for Burpee has been ordered and is ADA-compliant. We had 336 riders register for the Witches Ride and raised $6,720 for the pump track. The Frenchtown witches joined us this year and taught the riders a dance in Broad Commons after the ride. Old/New Business: Caitlin asked the Board to think about options for a splash pad, whether it should be in a place with limited parking like Star Garden or in a space where parking is more accessible such as Broad Commons.
