Planning Commission - Comprehensive Plan Meeting

DOYLESTOWN BOROUGH PLANNING COMMISSION MAY 14, 2024 MEETING MINUTES The meeting of the Doylestown Borough Planning Commission was held at Borough Hall at 7:00 pm on May 14, 2024. Members present were as follows: James Lannon, Chairman Gus Perea, Vice Chairman Andy Happ MaryAnn Baenninger Nicholas Caramenico Lynn Bush Also present in attendance were Lynn Lai and Mike Roedig of the Bucks County Planning Commission, Doylestown Borough Council President Jack O’Brien, Steve Nelson of the Environmental Action Committee, Doylestown Borough Director of Planning and Public Works Phil Ehlinger, and Doylestown Borough Director of Building and Zoning Karyn Hyland. CALL TO ORDER: Mr. Lannon called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance in honor of Martin Corr. MEETING MINUTES: The April 24, 2024, meeting minutes were approved as submitted. COMPREHENSIVE PLAN UPDATE: Mike Roedig provided an update on the progress of the BCPC consultants with the draft document. Lynn Lai's work on creating various maps based on feedback from the April 24, 2024 meeting was also highlighted. Mr. Roedig invited the Borough Planning Commission to review and provide feedback on the maps he brought to the meeting. The members of the Borough Planning Commission joined the consultants at the table to have a closer look at the various maps— discussions centered around the topics of parking and transportation. OLD/NEW BUSINESS: Mr. Lannon shared that the EAC is not ready for a presentation of the LCAP. The next Comprehensive Plan meeting with the consultants is scheduled for June 11, 2024. The regular Planning Commission meeting agenda will include a review of a proposed zoning text amendment.
