Planning Commission - Comprehensive Planning Meeting

DOYLESTOWN BOROUGH PLANNING COMMISSION COMPREHENSIVE PLAN MEETING SEPTEMBER 12, 2023 MEETING MINUTES The meeting of the Doylestown Borough Planning Commission was held at Borough Hall at 7:30 pm on September 12, 2023. Members present were as follows: James Lannon, Chairman Nicholas Caramenico W. Andrew Happ Heather Mahaley P.R. West Lynn Bush In addition to Planning Commission members and Borough staff, the meeting was attended by members of Borough Council and the Mayor, representatives of the Bucks County Planning Commission, and members of several volunteer boards along with members of the public. CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order at 7:30 pm by Mr. Lannon, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance in honor of Martin Corr. MEETING MINUTES from the July 25, 2023 meeting were approved as corrected. COMPREHENSIVE PLAN PROCESS UPDATE was provided by Mike Roedig of the Bucks County Planning Commission. Mike explained to the members of the public where we currently are within the process of updating the Comprehensive Plan. Mike reviewed the agenda for the evening and discussed expectations for the focus groups. FOCUS GROUP summaries were provided by a spokesperson for each group. Mike Roedig wrapped up the focus group discussion by letting the public know how all the recommendations that have come from this meeting will be presented to the Borough Planning Commission in a formatted form. Decisions will then be made on the next steps for the Comprehensive Plan. The next workshop is tentatively scheduled to take place on October 10, 2023.
