DAVIS, Manager PUBLIC WORKS AND ADMINISTRATION COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Monday, October 6, 2025 6:00PM Borough Hall 10 Doyle Street, Doylestown, PA 18901 Present: Chairperson Bob Kinney via ZOOM, Councilperson Larry Browne, Councilperson Dennis Livrone, Councilperson Elizabeth Wyckoff, Council President Jack O’Brien, Public Works Director, Dave Burger. Guest: Jerry Scanlan, Mechanic for Doylestown Borough Public Works. Call to Order: Councilperson Kinney called the meeting to order at 6:00 pm. 1. Approval of Minutes: Meeting minutes from October were unanimous approved. 2. 2026 Paving list was removed from the agenda pending further Council review. Moved to November Public Works. 3. 2026 Battery Powered Equipment: Committee discussed the proposed list of tools to be replaced with battery powered equipment both for 2025 appropriated funds (@$8.5K) as well This list of equipment includes push mower, riding mower, and chop saw. No lead time is necessary as all tools are available immediately. 4. New Business: Public Works Director, Dave Burger discussed his proposal for Fleet management going forward. After reviewing vehicles and equipment, and discussions with the water department, a list has been generated of equipment to shift departments as well as new purchases to better serve both departments. Older equipment would be sold to generate profitable returns via ”Municibid” thus reducing total outlay. Other trucks within the fleet will be reconfigured; by removing ill-used closed truck beds to be replaced with open flatbeds; better serving the Public Works department crews. A more closely managed fleet plan will keep equipment up to date and help to relieve rising costs of repairs. With no other business Meeting adjourned (Browne//Livrone) at 6:42 pm.
