Commission members in attendance included Lisa Moscherosh, Kayvon Tabatabai, and Baldev Lamba. Also present were Borough Arborist Bob McMullin, Karyn Hyland, Director of Building and Zoning and Grant Rowe, Sustainability Coordinator. Call to Order: Meeting was called to order at 6:30PM (LAMBA/TABATABAI) Approval of Minutes: The June 2025 minutes were approved. (MOCHEROSCH/TABATABAI) Subdivision/Land Development: None Tree Applications: 1. 41 N. Church Street, Harriet Rattner, Property Owner. Recommended approval with the suggestion to replant (MOSCHEROSCH/LAMBA) 2. 247 N. West Street, Lawrence Cherba, Property Owner. Tom and Larry were present. Recommended approval with the suggestion to replant something smaller in its place such as a Redbud, Magnolia, or Dogwood. (TABATABAI/LAMBA) 3. 2 Sandy Ridge Drive, Thomas Phillips, Property Owner. Tom & Gloria were present. Recommended approval with the suggestion to replant. (MOSCHEROSCH/LAMBA) 4. 73 N. Hamilton Street, Alle Van Wallendael, Property Owner. Recommended approval with the suggestion to replant. (MOSCHEROSCH/LAMBA) 5. 32 Union Street, Dementia Society, Property Owner. Recommended approval with the suggestion to replant. (MOSCHEROSCH/LAMBA) 6. 329 Union Street, David Nice, Property Owner. Recommended approval with the suggestion to replant. (MOSCHEROSCH/LAMBA) 7. 218 E. Court Street, Tim Padva, Property Owner. Tim and Sue Padva were present. Recommended approval. (MOSCHEROSCH/LAMBA) Old/New Business: None Reports: 1. Chairperson Report: Lisa inquired about the next steps regarding last month’s ordinance change recommendations. Karyn explained the process and outlined the next actions Borough Staff will take. The draft ordinance will be reviewed by the Environment & Recreation Committee, then submitted to the Bucks County Planning Commission, and ultimately presented to Borough Council. 2. Arborist’s Report: Beech Leaf Disease is becoming a growing concern and is spreading rapidly. Very few beech trees remain in the borough due to previous diseases. One beech tree at Veterans Memorial Park on  Maplewood is showing early signs of infection and will be treated. In addition, signs of Bacterial Leaf Scorch in oak trees will soon begin to appear. Monitoring and observations will continue to determine whether previous treatments have been effective in slowing the progression of symptoms.
