MINUTES CITY OF DRIPPING SPRINGS FARMERS MARKET ASSOCIATION REGULAR MEETING Tuesday, June 11, 2013 10:00 a.m. City Hall 511 Mercer Street Dripping Springs, Texas This facility is wheelchair accessible and accessible parking spaces are available. MEETING CALLED TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL Marianne Simmons, Chair Gina Gillis Kambra Bolch Gouri Johannsen Sandy Pedrazas Vacancy Jo Ann Touchstone, Secretary Thomas Brownson Marianne calls meeting to order at 10:00 a.m. All present except Gouri and Kambra. Also present Market Manager Carolyn Hodges. II. PRESENTATIONS BY CITIZENS Floor open to discussion on any subject. No action may be taken by law. Citizens wishing to speak shall do so after being recognized by the Chair. The Chair may establish a time limit as necessary. None. III. MINUTES A. Approval of Regular Meeting Minutes, May 14, 2013 – Marianne motion to approve. Sandy seconds. Motion passes, 4-0. IV. REPORTS No Action to be Taken: 1. Local Restaurant Market Participation – President Marianne Simmons – Marianne provides draft forms for restaurants to fill out. Will work with Jo Ann to finalize. Need to deliver and follow up with each restaurant. V. BUSINESS Discussion and Possible Action regarding: A. Special Events for 2013 Season – Need to confirm a chef demo date with Fabienne schedule canning demo and schedule talk with Sacred Moon. B. Advertising for 2013 Season 1. Print Ads – Outlook ad is published. 2. Banners – Banners are currently at 290/12 and Sports and Recreation Park. Move 290/12 banner to east end of market. Check what other areas second banner can be located. C. Review of 2013 Vendor Applications - None pending. D. Review of May and June Markets – Still relatively slow. Commuting hour very slow. E. Placement of Donation Drop Box for Local Food Pantries – No action taken. F. Rules and Regulations for Service Providers and Non Profits – Tabled. G. Guidelines for Market Event Sponsorships – Gouri has drafted. Board agrees to finalize for next season. H. Fiscal Year 2013 Budget Amendment – Marianne motions to allocate revenues to line item for building fund. Thomas seconds. Motion passes, 4-0. I. Funding for Market Improvements – Jo Ann reports there is currently no grant funding available. VI. ANNOUNCEMENTS  A. Regular City Council Meeting, Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. B.
