MINUTES CITY OF DRIPPING SPRINGS FARMERS MARKET ASSOCIATION SPECIAL MEETING Monday, November 18, 2013 9:30 a.m. Dripping Springs Ranch Park 1042 DS Ranch Road Dripping Springs, Texas This facility is wheelchair accessible and accessible parking spaces are available. MEETING CALLED TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL Marianne Simmons, Chair Gina Gillis Kambra Bolch Gouri Johannsen Aubrey Mungia Sandy Pedrazas Jo Ann Touchstone, Secretary Vacancy Called meeting to order at 9:30 p.m. All present except Gina Gillis and Sandy Pedrazas. Also present Market Manager Carolyn Hodges and Ralph Morren. II. BUSINESS Discussion and Possible Action regarding: A. Discussion Regarding Dates, Hours and Location for 2014 Season – Board tours open area and restrooms, arena and parking areas. Discussion regarding pros and cons of current location and of moving to DSRP (listed below). Board agrees more information is needed and to survey both the public and vendors. DSRP Pros: Electric availability, well lit, cover from rain, restrooms, less wind?, shade, larger booths, room for growth, safer location, parking, no ants, no mud. Cons: Industrial setting, visibility and isolated feel, possible construction, dust, parking area construction, banners off site, may increase booth fee, losing momentum at current location, advertising effectively, noise from arena and flies. B. Review of November Markets – Time change has everyone packing up at 5:30. Slower than its been. III. ADJOURN Jo Ann motions to adjourn. Marianne seconds. Motion passes, 5-0.
