City of Dripping Springs Farmers Market Association Board Meeting Minutes Thursday, January 18, 2018 at 10:00 AM City Hall, 511 Mercer Street, Dripping Springs, Texas I. CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL COMMISSION: Gouri Johannsen - Chair Claudia Oney Lori Broughton Marianne Simmons - Vice Chair Charissa Giles Vacant Teresa Strube - Secretary Vacant Market Manager: Laurel Robertson Chair Gouri Johannsen called the meeting to order at 10:08 and conducted roll call. Charissa was absent. Board members present: Gouri Johannsen, Marianne Simmons, Claudia Oney, Lori Broughton, and Teresa Strube. Market Manager Laurel Robertson was also present. II. PRESENTATION BY CITIZENS Floor open to discussion on any subject. No action may be taken by law. Citizens wishing to speak shall do so after being recognized by the Chair. The Chair may establish a time limit on each citizen wishing to speak. Sara Gates, regular FM customer, attended meeting. III. MINUTES Discuss and consider approval of minutes of the regular meeting of the Farmers Market Board on December 14, 2017 Document was not included with Agenda documents; tabled. IV. REPORTS A. Farmers Market Manager's Monthly Report - Laurel Robertson Manager’s report was reviewed. In future, Laurel’s City Council report will be integrated into Parks Director’s report. B. Fiscal Year 2018 Income Statement Monthly Report Income Statement was not included with Agenda documents; tabled. C. Parks and Community Services Report Reviewed report. V. MARKETING AND PUBLIC RELATIONS Discussion and possible action regarding: A. Marketing and Public Relations Committee Report - Marianne Simmons Mimi Taylor volunteered to join committee. B. Guidelines for Market Manager to approve advertising Committee to meet concerning advertising plan and budget. C. Report on Thank You Note responses - Marianne Simmons Reviewed report. VI. MARKET VENUE Discussion and possible action regarding: A. Update on the Complaints/Incident Form - Laurel Robertson Laurel will make further changes and then submit to Parks Director. B. TIRZ Board Meeting Report - Lori Broughton Reviewed report and discussion. VII. SPONSORSHIPS SUBCOMMITTEE Discussion and possible action regarding: A. Sponsorship Activity B. Tabled. VIII. RULES AND REGULATIONS SUBCOMMITTEE Discussion and possible action regarding: A. Dripping Springs Farmers Market Rules and Regulations Revisions Update - Gouri Johannsen, Lori Broughton Reviewed revised Mission Statement and Rules document. Marianne motioned to approve draft and send to City; Claudia seconded; VOTE: all in favor, motion passed. IX. OTHER BUSINESS Consideration and possible action regarding: A. Updated 2018 Vendor Registration Form - Laurel Robertson Changes noted and some added. B. Online payment of booth and application fees - Laurel Robertson Discussion and questions. C. New Vendor Applications - Laurel Robertson Discussed pending apps and future parameters. D. TDA FM certification and Go Texas membership - Laurel Robertson Approved both memberships. E. Market Manager Job and Pay Structure Update - Gouri Johannsen Manager formally approved as full City employee. F.
