Founders Day Commission Meeting Minutes December 10, 2018 at 6:30 p.m. A Regular Meeting of the Founders Day Commission of Dripping Springs, Texas was held Monday, December 10, 2018 beginning at 6:30 p.m., in the Council Chambers located at City Hall, 511 Mercer Street, Dripping Springs, Texas. I. CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL Commission Members present were: Brenda Medcalf, Chair Evan Taddia, Vice Chair Stephanie Holtzendorf, Secretary Jake Adams (arrived at 6:52 p.m.) Sharon Goss Michael Monaghan Paul Sanchez Brad Thomas Brian Varnell Commissioner Members absent were: Brian Daniel Chris Nuccio City Staff/Appointed Officials present were: Mariana Espinoza, Parks & Community Services Director With a quorum of the Commission present, Chair Medcalf called the meeting to order at 6:46 p.m. II. MINUTES A. Discuss and Consider Approval of the Regular Meeting Minutes of November 12, 2018 A motion was made by Commissioner Sanchez to approve the Regular Meeting Minutes of November 12, 2018. Vice Chair Taddia seconded the motion which carried unanimously 8 to 0. III. BUSINESS A. Discuss and Consider Approval of 2019 Founders Day Festival Arts & Crafts/Business Vendor Information & Application Commissioner Monaghan will revise the price of the booth fee and update the vendor map. A motion was made by Commissioner Monaghan to approve 2019 Founders Day Festival Arts & Crafts/Business Vendor Information & Application with revised booth fee and 1 of 3 updated vendor map. Commissioner Sanchez seconded the motion which carried unanimously 9 to 0. B. Discuss and Consider the Appointment of a Founders Day Commission Vice Chair A motion was made by Commissioner Thomas to approve the appointment of Commissioner Adams as the Founders Day Commission Vice Chair. Commissioner Sanchez seconded the motion which carried unanimously 9 to 0. IV. STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS The following updates relate to the administration of the 2016 Founders Day Festival. No action to be taken. A. Site Plan Michael Monaghan and Brenda Medcalf The subcommittee needs to hold a meeting regarding parking lot usage near the main stage, event site plan and electricity set up. B. Entertainment Brad Thomas The subcommittee will hold off on confirming booking until the new Event Site Plan is determined. C. Arts & Crafts Michael Monaghan Commissioner Monaghan will update the form with the new booth fee and map. D. Parade – no report presented. E. Publicity – no report presented. F. Sponsorship and Underwriting Mariana Espinoza, Sharon Goss, Brenda Medcalf, Brian Daniel and Jake Adams Commissioner Adams presented the sponsorship video that is in its final stages of revisions. G. Sanitarian – no report presented. H. Traffic and Parking – no report presented. I. Volunteers – no report presented. V.
