Founders Day Commission Regular Meeting Minutes January 27, 2020 at 6:30 p.m. A Regular Meeting of the Founders Day Commission of Dripping Springs, Texas was held Monday, January 27, 2020 beginning at 6:30 p.m., in the Council Chambers located at City Hall, 511 Mercer Street, Dripping Springs, Texas. I. CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL Commission Members present were: Brenda Medcalf, Chair Brian Daniel Darrell Debish Martin Garza Sharon Goss Clinton Holtzendorf Michael Monaghan Brad Thomas Brian Varnell Susan Warwick Dee Marsh Jeff Shindler Commissioner Members absent were: Jake Adams, Vice Chair City Staff/Appointed Officials present were: Maggie Martin, Events & Programs Specialist II. MINUTES A. Discuss and consider approval of the Founders Day Commission January 13, 2020 regular meeting minutes. A motion was made by Commissioner Debish to approve the January 13, 2020 Founders Day Commission Regular Meeting Minutes with the correction that Dee Marsh was present at the meeting. Commissioner Monaghan seconded the motion which carried unanimously. III. BUSINESS A. Discuss and consider the creation of criteria and service expectations of Founders Day Commissioners. Founders Day Commission January 27, 2020 Regular Meeting Minutes Page 1 of 3 Criteria and expectations were discussed. Commission members will email additional suggestions and Chair Medcalf (with the assistance of Commissioner Marsh) will compile the list. IV. STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS The following updates relate to the administration of the 2020 Founders Day Festival. No action to be taken. A. Site Plan Committee Michael Monaghan and Brenda Medcalf Nothing to report. B. Entertainment Committee Brad Thomas and Brian Daniel Commissioner Thomas needs Participant Contracts for musicians. Maggie Martin will help. Commission still needs a final agreement on the use of the parking lot. C. Carnival & Food Committee Sharon Goss and Susan Warwick Nothing to report. D. Arts & Crafts Committee Michael Monaghan Nothing to report. E. Parade Committee Brenda Medcalf and Clint Holtzendorf Parade applications will be available by the end of January. F. Publicity Committee Brenda Medcalf, Jake Adams, Clint Holtzendorf, Brian Daniel, and Maggie Martin and Lisa Sullivan Nothing to report. G. Sanitation Committee Martin Garza Nothing to report. H. Sponsorship & Underwriting Committee Jake Adams, Darrell Debish, Brian Daniel, Dee Marsh and Maggie Martin Nothing to report.
