A motion was made by Commissioner Debish to approve the absence from the November 9, 2020 Founders Day Commissioners Regular Meeting for Commissioner Adams. Commissioner Garza seconded the motion which carried unanimously 11 to 0. PRESENTATION OF CITIZENS A member of the public who desires to address the Commission regarding any item on an agenda for an open meeting may do so at presentation of citizens before an item or at a public hearing for an item during the Commission's consideration of that item. Citizens wishing to discuss matters not contained with in the current agenda may do so, but only during the time allotted for presentation of citizens. Speakers are allowed two (2) minutes to speak during presentation of citizens or during each public hearing. Speakers may not cede or pool time. Members of the public requiring assistance of a translator will be given twice the amount of time as a member of the public who does not require the assistance of a translator to address the Commission. It is the request of the Commission that members of the public wishing to speak on item(s) on the agenda with a noticed Public Hearing hold their comments until the item(s) are presented for consideration. Speaker are encouraged to sign in. Anyone may request a copy of the City's policy on presentation of citizens for the City Secretary. By low no action may be taken during Presentation of Citizens. No one spoke during Presentation of Citizens. MINUTES 1. Discuss and consider approval of the September 14, 2020 Founders Day Commission regular meeting minutes. A motion was made by Commissioner Monaghan to approve the September 14, 2020 Founders Day Commission Regular Meeting Minutes. Commissioner Debish seconded the motion which carried unanimously 11 to 0. BUSINESS 2. Discuss and consider approval of the selection of individuals for the Founders Day Commission Ballot submission regarding the Dripping Springs Chamber of Commerce 2021 Board of Directors Election; and authorization for Commissioner Brian Daniel to electronically submit the ballot. A motion was made by Commissioner Daniel that the Founders Day Commission casts its one vote for Glenn Wash for Treasurer of the Dripping Springs Chamber of Commerce. Commissioner Marsh seconded the motion which carried 10 to 1, with Commissioner Garza abstaining. A motion was made by Commissioner Daniel that the Founders Day Commission casts one vote for Martin Garza to be a member of the Board of Directors of the Dripping Springs Chamber of Commerce. Commissioner Debish seconded the motion which carried 10 to 1, with Commissioner Garza abstaining. A motion was made by Commissioner Marsh that the Founders Day Commission casts one vote for Denise Schroeder to be a member of the Board of Directors of the Dripping Springs Chamber of Commerce. Commissioner Monaghan seconded the motion which carried 10 to 1, with Commissioner Garza abstaining. Founders Day Commission November 9, 2020 Regular Meeting Minutes Page 2 of 4 3. Discuss and consider recommendation regarding the Appointment of one individual to the Founders Day Commission for an At-Large seat with a term ending June 30, 2022. This item will be tabled until the next meeting. The subcommittee of Commissioners Medcalf, Adams, Debish, Garza and Monaghan plans to interview the three applicants. STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS 4. Site Plan Committee Commissioners Monaghan and Medcalf Plans for Founders Day 2021 if coronavirus is still with us will be discussed at the next meeting (December 14) after the Christmas on Mercer event on December 5. 5. Entertainment Committee Commissioners Thomas and Daniel Contracts with entertainers are on hold for now. 6. Carnival & Food Committee — No updates Commissioners Goss and Warwick 7. Arts & Crafts Committee — No updates Commissioner Monaghan 8. Parade Committee — No updates Commissioners Medcalf and Holtzendorf 9.
