Minutes City of Dripping Springs Regular Meeting Parks and Recreation Commission A regular meeting of the City of Dripping Springs Parks and Recreation Commission was held Monday, December 12, 2016, beginning at 6:09 PM in the City Hall, 511 Mercer Street, Dripping Springs, Texas. I. CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL Robbie Zamora, Chair (DSYSA) Russell, Vice Chair (DSYSA) Robert Hayden (CODS) Rich Moore (DSISD) Wade King (CODS) Ron Jones (DSISD) Eric Henline (DSISD) David Douglas (CODS) City Staff: Michelle Fischer, City Administrator Commission Chair Robbie Zamora calls the meeting to order at 6:09 P.M. All present except Commissioners Eric Henline, Ron Jones, Wade King, and Rich Moore. Also present is Bonnie Gonzalez, Communications Coordinator. II. PRESENTATION BY CITIZENS Discussion open to floor on any subject. No action may be taken by law. Citizens wishing to speak shall do so after being recognized by the Chair. The Chair and Commission may establish a time limit on each citizen wishing to speak. No one speaks. III. CONSENT ITEMS Discussion and Possible Action Regarding: A. Approval of Regular Meeting Minutes, October 17, 2016– Commission Vice Chair Russell motions to approve the minutes. Commissioner Douglas seconds. VOTE: 4:0 in favor, motion passes. IV. BUSINESS Consideration and Possible Action On: A. Report from Exploratory Skate Park Committee (Sponsor: Commissioner Eric Henline) No report given. B. Exploratory Skate Park Committee Recommendations (Sponsor: Commissioner Eric Henline) No report given. No action taken. C. Ninety Day Extension of Maintenance and Use Agreement between the City of Dripping Springs and Dripping Springs Youth Sports Association for Founders Memorial Park and Sports and Recreation (Sponsor: Commissioner Eric Russell) Commission Vice Chair Russell motions to approve the ninety day extension to the agreement. Commissioner Hayden seconds. VOTE: 4:0 in favor, motion passes. D. Rescheduling of October 9, 2017 Regular Parks & Recreation Commission meeting in observance of Columbus Day to possibly Monday, October 2, 2017 or another alternate date Commission Vice Chair Russell motions to change the meeting date to October 2, 2017. Commissioner Douglas seconds. VOTE: 4:0 in favor, motion passes. V. REPORTS The following updates relate to the planning and administration of the City's Parks & Recreation Program. No Action to be Taken: A. Revenues and Expenses Monthly Report - Gina Gillis, City Treasurer 1. 2016 November 30, 2016 Income Statement Commissioners ask for the City Treasurer to provide information on $3,613.13 in expenses for park improvements. It may be misclassified. They also not that the Charro Ranch Park improvement expenses should be paid with parkland dedication funds. B. Maintenance Director Report - Robert Steepe C. Charro Ranch Park - Robert Hayden D. Founders Memorial Park - Ron Jones and Eric Henline E. Dripping Springs Ranch Park - Rich Moore F. Sports & Recreation Park - Eric Russell and David Douglas G. Veterans Memorial Park & Triangle - Wade King H. Farmers Market Monthly Report - Market Manager (Manager's Report was not provided) I. Parkland Dedication Ordinance Committee - Melody Mitchell J. Skate Park Advisory Committee - Eric Henline K. Lighting Compliance Committee Report - Eric Russell L. Healthy Parks, Healthy People Program - Bonnie Gonzalez, Communications Coordinator VI. ANNOUNCEMENTS A. Regular City Council Meeting, December 13, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. B. Regular Parks & Recreation Commission Meeting, January 9, 2016, at 6:00 p.m. VII.
