Utility Commission Regular Meeting Minutes August 14, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. A Regular Meeting of the Utility Commission was held Wednesday, August 14, 2019 beginning at 4:00 p.m. in the City Hall Conference Room No. 1 located at 511 Mercer Street, Dripping Springs, Texas. I. CALL TO ORDER Commission Members present were: Jim Langford, Chair Meghan Lind Chuck Miller Troy Jamail Commission Member absent was: Roger Kew City Staff, Appointed Officials and Consultants present were: Deputy City Administrator Ginger Faught Code Enforcement Officer/Construction Inspector Aaron Reed Building Official/Utilities Coordinator Sarah Cole Consulting Engineer Robby Callegari, PE Inframark Senior Operations Manager Jesse Kennis Mayor Pro Tem Bill Foulds II. PRESENTATION OF CITIZENS Floor open to discussion on any subject. No action may be taken by law. Citizens wishing to speak shall do so after being recognized by the Chair. The Chair may establish a time limit on each citizen wishing to speak. No one spoke during Presentation of Citizens. III. MINUTES A. Discuss and consider approval of the June 12, 2019 Utility Commission Regular Meeting Minutes. A motion was made by Commissioner Miller to approve the June 12, 2019 Utility Commission Regular Meeting Minutes. Commissioner Jamail seconded the motion which carried unanimously 4 to 0. IV. BUSINESS A. Tour of the City of Dripping Springs South Regional Water Reclamation Facility located at 23127 RM 150, Dripping Springs, Texas 78620 and the Caliterra Facilities off of Wynnpage Drive, Dripping Springs, Texas 78620. (The workshop will be called Utility Commission August 14, 2019 Regular Meeting Minutes Page 1 of 2 to order at Dripping Springs City Hall and the Commissioners will then travel to the South Regional Water Reclamation Facility and the Caliterra Facilities.) The Commission began the tour at 4:15 p.m. and arrived at the Caliterra Facility at 4:18. After Caliterra, the Commission toured the Discharge Point at Walnut Springs at 4:45 p.m., and then arrived at the South Regional Water Reclamation Facility at 5:00 p.m. The tour completed and Commissioners arrived back at City Hall at 5:35 p.m. V. EXECUTIVE SESSION The Utility Commission for the City of Dripping Springs has the right to meet in executive session at any time during the course of this meeting to discuss any matter as authorized by Texas Government Code Sections 551.071 (Consultation with City Attorney), 551.072 (Deliberations about Real Property), 551.073 (Deliberations about Gifts and Donations), 551.074 (Personnel Matters), 551.076 (Deliberations about Security Devices), and 551.086 (Economic Development). The Utility Commission for the City of Dripping Springs may act on any item listed in Executive Session in Open Session or move any item from Executive Session to Open Session for action. The Commission did not meet in Executive Session. VI. UPCOMING MEETINGS A. Utility Commission Meetings September 11, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. October 9, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. November 13, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. B. ADJOURN A motion was made by Chair Langford to adjourn the meeting. Commissioner Lind seconded the motion which carried unanimously 4 to 0.
