ROLL CALL A Regular Meeting of Dundee Parks and Recreation Commission was held on at the Village Office Conference Room. The meeting was called to order at 7pm by Chairman Hickey. Present were Jennifer Hernandez, Peter Kepler, Andrea Hickey, Tony Ellison, Daniel Zachary Laberdee, Doug Steinman, George Wilkins, and Thomas Miller.Richard Arecheja was absent. Also present was 1 interested citizen. 2. CALL TO ORDER 3. APPROVAL OF AGENDA Doug Steinman moved, seconded by Daniel Zachary Laberdee, Motion to approve the agenda as printed. RESULT: Carried MOVER: Doug Steinman SECONDER: Daniel Zachary Laberdee ABSENT: Richard Arecheja 4. APPROVAL OF MINUTES 4.a Regular Meeting:December 14, 2023 Jennifer Hernandez moved, seconded by Village Trustee George Wilkins, Motion to approve the Minutes of the Date Meeting as printed. RESULT: Carried MOVER: Jennifer Hernandez SECONDER: Village Trustee George Wilkins ABSENT: Richard Arecheja 5. CITIZEN’S COMMENTS 6. UNFINISHED BUSINESS 6.a Fishing Club-Update from George There is not going to be any help from the school for this program. The commission will move forward with coordinating the program and obtaining equipment. Peter reached out to Bass Pro online. Page 2 of 5 Agenda Item #4.A Page 2 of 2 6.b Dundee Community Civic Building Update-Bids due March 15th Council approved a motion at their last meeting to go out to bid. 6.c Viking Park Update-Recreation Passport Grant Extension Council approved a motion to request an extension. This is the final extension we are eligible for. 7. NEW BUSINESS 7.a Music and Movies for Bicentennial Jennifer will come back with a few options to discuss at the next meeting. Andrea will reach out to local bands. 7.b Movies/Music for Summer 2024-Need volunteers to organize Jennifer will bring movie options back to the next meeting. 7.c Bylaws/Policy Subcommitee Creation Doug, Tony, Jennifer and Andrea will work on these as a subcommittee. Doug will forward Historical Society bylaws to the group as an example. 7.d Community Development Director Update Applications will be available online. 7.e Soccer Update Pricing will remain unchanged.
