ROLL CALL A Regular Meeting of Dundee Village Parks & Recreation Commission was held on March 11, 2026 at the Village Office Conference Room. Present were Jennifer Wierman, Phillip LaPointe, Brook West, Michael Martin, Doug Steinman, George Wilkins,Jacob Lechlak Absent, Steve Ayre Also present were, Vicki Salib,Chuck Booth, Howard Cilley, Tim Bordine, Ryan Rudzis 2. CALL TO ORDER Meeting of the Dundee Parks and Recreation Commission was called to order at: 7:05 pm by President Lechlak. 3. APPROVAL OF AGENDA Vice Chairperson Michael Martin moved, seconded by Member Jennifer Wierman, Motion to approve the agenda as printed. RESULT: Carried MOVER: Vice Chairperson Michael Martin SECONDER: Member Jennifer Wierman 4. APPROVAL OF MINUTES 4.a Invisible item - do not delete Member Phillip LaPointe moved, seconded by Vice Chairperson Michael Martin, Motion to approve the agenda as printed. CITIZEN’S COMMENTS Tim Bordine is in contact with Michigan Representative Walberg's assistant about DMVA land behind school. Vicki Salib considering joining P&R, she was unanimously ok'd to ask Council to approve. She will fill out application. 6. UNFINISHED BUSINESS 6.a 2026 Calendar of Events  Sports Page 3 of 5 Agenda Item #4.A Page 2 of 3 Draft  Music in the Park  New Events A tentative schedule of Events for 2026 was developed, dates are all approximate at this time.  February 14, 2026, Spring Soccer Registration Begins, Ends March 23, 2026  Soccer practice starts March 23rd  March - Soccer nets and lined fields March 23, 2026  20, 2025 U6 Soccer Start  April 4th or 11th, to be determined soon.  Soccer ends June 6th, 2026 18 games  Jerseys to be ordered  Fishing Club Registration starts April 22, First Meeting May 20th then on 1st & 3rd Wednesdays.  Last Fishing Club Outing - September 16, 2026  June 19, 2026 1st Movie in the Park - "Wicked"  July 24, 2026 Movie in the Park - "Mario"  August 2, 2026 - "Utopia" (suggested to have a grownups movie, is this OK with council and Village)  Monroe Fair August 2-8, 2026  Late August - September Fall Soccer Ends, (will schedule end of May)  October 3, 2026 Pumpkin Palooza, Mike Martin will have P&R table to meet and survey residents for park wants and improvements.  October ?? TBD, 2026 Dundee Days New Event Suggestions to discuss at future meetings:  Christmas Market to be held in conjunction with Christmas Parade and tree lighting. Market would include all downtown businesses. Discussion: May be too cold and too long for kids and parents after parade.  Color Run 5K - June 29 Jennifer investigating, need shirts, water, 15 helpers - ask DDA & VFW for helpers. Jennifer will have outline for April Meeting. Suggested a fun run for kids, Jennifer is gathering information for this, checking with John Moskwa  Open house for Civic Center with presentation of ideas and rental agreement and liabilities for usage possibilities, looking for resident input or concurrence! Howard offered to help 6.b Civic Center, Scouting Building  Civic Center Rental Agreement, need to work out rental prices, who will pay, refine all amounts of rental charges and liability amounts, everything in Yellow High Light.  What are final items to include or exclude in building ie., do we need a stove in kitchen just for warming items. What size of refrigerator, how many tables & chairs, trash service, etc. All the fine points! Need to know before construction work begins to avoid more charges. These changes and cost possibly will have to go to council also. No specific users in name of building. We decide to changed Rental Agreement to April meeting, for lack of time. 7. NEW BUSINESS This information is for discussion at April 8, 2026 Meeting 7.a Porta John anti-tipping prevention in parks Wolverine Park, new slap with hold down retention. Reggie Park, move Porta Johns to cement slab with hold down retention off of the parking lot. 7.b Possible Security Cameras installation in parks to deter malicious behavior and record issues for prosecution. Determine Cost, Village thoughts and cost for their cameras 7.c Civic Center Project, discuss stove & refrigerator add & style and size 8. CITIZEN COMMENTS ON NON-AGENDA ITEMS None 9. COMMISSION MEMBER COMMENTS Chuck Booth advised us DDA would like to share a $25,000 Grant Project with area donors George Wilkins - Getting quotes for Fishing Club T-Shirts 10.
