CITY OF DUVALL CITY COUNCIL DRAFT SPECIAL COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE MINUTES October 11, 2018 – 5:00 p.m. Duvall Police Department – 26225 NE Burhen Way Mayor Pro Tem Eyer called the meeting to order at 5:03 p.m. Council present: Matthew Eyer, Michelle Hogg, Dianne Brudnicki, Jason Walker, Jennifer Knaplund, Amy McHenry, Mike Remington Staff present: Police Chief Carey Hert, Lieutenants Steve Sabourin and Mike DeBock, Officers Brandon Rhodes, Cory Clark, Micah Kwiat, Jesse Squires, Thomas Warwick, Scott Benjamin, Reserve Officer Bob Reife, Lara Thomas, Lindsey Vaughn, Jodi Wycoff I. 2019/2020 Proposed Budget - Department Presentations Police Department Duvall Police Chief, Carey Hert, introduced the Police Department employees present which included Lieutenants Steve Sabourin and Mike DeBock, Officers Brandon Rhodes, Cory Clark, Micah Kwiat, Jesse Squires, Scott Benjamin, Thomas Warwick, and Reserve Officer Bob Reife. The Lieutenants and Officers gave a presentation showing the various programs the Department provides including, but not limited to: D.A.R.E., R.A.D., car seat certification, house checks, etc.; events the Department is involved in including National Nite Out and Duvall Days; trainings the officers are required to attend; specific duties for individual officers such as fleet management and field training; and statistics for 2018 to-date. Carey Hert, Police Chief, gave a presentation on the proposed 2019/2020 Police Department budget and answered questions from Council. II.
