The Deputy City Clerk determined there was a quorum and the meeting commenced at
6: 04 PM.

Councilman Leneus motioned for an executive session on personal, and legal
matters. Councilman Gomez seconded the motion.

X. HEARING OF CITIZENS
1. Courtyard Tenant Association: Good evening, Council; kindly address how,
and if the council intends to address the lack of a checks and balances system
to monitor omissions and deficient documents being filed with code
enforcement -- specifically faulty, if any, rent rolls; and unsigned if any,
Certificates of Habitability.

Simone Jelks- Bandison addresses the multiple systemic failures threatening our
community' s stability and safety. She stated the $ 24 million educational deficit
and housing crisis are just the tip of the iceberg. Our city' s infrastructure and
public safety systems are equally in crisis.

Kersur Gulliver wrote to express their concerns regarding the recent teacher
layoffs in our district and their potential impact on our students and community.
The education of our children is of the utmost importance, and as a concerned
community member, I would like clarification on the district's plans moving
forward.
