1. Call to order – Meeting called to order at 7:00pm by John Jacoby
2. Roll Call ‐ Present – John Jacoby, Walter Watkins, Airport Manager/FBO,
Don Voland, Sam Taber, Mike Starck, Jim Stemper, Dale Graves, Matt
Rybarczyk, Kim Weckerly, Jerry Roeder
3. Citizen Participation – None
4. December 2017 Minutes pre-approved via an email from Ann Zess before
leaving the board
5. Old Business:
• AWOS transceiver needed repair
• Lighting project out for bid
• VOR-A and GPS instrument approaches restricting nighttime use.
Walter suspects it’s related to runway obstructions from HWY L due
to pavement height. FAA offered obstruction lights, PAPI, etc...
• Emergency procedures tabled to speak to incoming police chief and
get more precise expectations from village
• Village ordinance airport committee tabled until next meeting
6. Holding New Business:
• Bathroom maintenance related to freezing temperatures
• New landscaping & grading seems OK at glance. Warm weather will
make it easier to assess for next month.
