MINUTES Village of East Troy Airport Advisory Committee March 11, 2019 1. Call to order – Meeting called to order at 7:05pm by John Jacoby 2. Roll Call ‐ Present – John Jacoby, Walter Watkins, Sam Taber, Jim Stemper, Mike 3. Citizen Participation – None 4. Motion to table October minutes by John because they weren’t in the agenda. Seconded by Sam. Carried. 5. Old Business: o Skipped 6. New Business: o Determine who generates meeting agenda  Standing agenda items:  Airport managers report  Village board report  No motion made, keeping this as the chairperson’s responsibility o Establish meeting reminder & agenda dissemination protocol  A few days before the meeting. o Airport operations count  Walter says no easy way to get an accurate without a person in a tower.  Mike has data going back to April 2018. Can get numbers from then for next meeting. o Airport economic impact:  On site crew car.  Who insures it?  $2k to $3k value is OK  3 criteria:  Jobs around airport  Traffic in and out of the airport  Induced impacts  Improved FBO  Longer runway  Terminal building  Furnace not working  Furnace working poorly  Door seal needs replacing  Mold in the FBO building  South hangers to generate lease revenue  Preliminary plans drawn up, need revision  Waiting list, demand, revenue generating o Lighting system upgrade project  Will utilize existing electrical shed  Electrical shed needs a roof  Airport layout/survey schedule o Snow removal  Sam mentioned airport needs a vehicle with a plow cable of heaving snow up and over the runway lights   Talk about negligence vs. extenuating circumstances when it comes to the airport manager chargebacks 7.
