Village of East Troy Airport Advisory Committee MINUTES 2085 HWY L - FBO August 10, 2020 7 p.m. @ FBO-outdoors FACE COVERING REQUIRED FOR IN-PERSON ATTENDANCE Meeting was called to order at 7:00 PM Roll Call: Board Members: Mike Starck, JD Schreib, Kim Weckerly, Walter Watkins, Matt Johnson Citizen Participants: Minutes of last two meetings - vote on approval unanimous Citizen Participation-none present New Business Pilot activated settings of lighting - feedback was requested by Walter Watkins to document radio receiver sensitivity setting adjustment. Discussed new hangar site options and considerations. Walter to send copy of last Airport Layout Plan published. JD Schreib contacted Outagamie Airport about effect of sponsoring condominium hangar units Review Kim Weckerly’s proposed survey of hangar site waiting list to help determine demand for various hangar building types. This was approved and Kim is coordinating the survey with Village administration. Complaints about low flying aircraft from residents within a few miles of 57C were received by Walter Watkins. These aircraft came from other airports and were fixed wing crop dusters. There are no fixed wing crop dusters based at or operating from our airport, only helicopters. Village board trustee liaison member Matt Johnson noted Village board concerns about responsibilities related to federal and state airport funding grants, and explained enterprise fund accounting method and airport budget consequences.
