Call Meeting to Order
Roll Call:
Chairperson Johnson called the meeting to order by at 7:02 p.m.
Present: Chairperson Johnson, Walter Watkins, JD Schreib, Mike Starck, Kim Weckerly, and
Mike Zei
Others: Sam Taber, Sharon Taber

Approval of Minutes
Motion by Shreib; Seconded by Chairperson Johnson. Passed unanimously.
Standing and Old Business
1. Airport Manager’s Update and Repair Updates
a. North gate has been repaired (short-term) until warmer weather for further
remediation work.
b. Jet A pump issue may be related to how the fuel is restocked. A contact from
the petroleum company will be on site in spring when we receive more Jet A
fuel.
c. Airport Manager was made aware of individuals interested in internet service
providers offering service. Airport Manager will coordinate with Spectrum on an
inspection once weather is improved.
d. DPW has completed repairs of man cover.
2. ALP and Master Plan
a. DPW Director Equitz reminded the committee that Strand was selected as the
consulting firm. BOA is negotiating with Strand over a statement of work and
fees. DPW Director Equitz has provided our current thoughts. No additional
updates.
b. Discussion about planning for buildings near Hwy 20 entrance and with the
possibility of bathrooms. DPW Director Equitz mentioned this will be a part of
further discussions with the BOA and Strand as the work progresses.
3. Leases – Chairperson Johnson still in discussions with Village legal counsel.
New Business
1. Snow Removal
a. Weckerly requested the Airport Manager complete at least one plow pass before
9:00 am for overnight storms. During the last storm, issues occurred with a FedEx
delivery truck at 10:00 am.
b. Taber raised concerns about how far the airport’s snow removal equipment is able
to throw the snow, which can also affect the lights.

c. DPW Director Equitz is discussing with BOA for upgraded snow removal
equipment (SRE).
d. DPW Director Equitz and Airport Manager to determine a snow clearing schedule
for the rest of the season and begin to identify additional changes necessary for
next season.
2. Tree Removal
a. Chairperson Johnson informed the committee that the Village has contracted with
Twilight Tree Service to remove trees the FAA identified as needing to be
removed.
b. DPW Director Equitz said a new gate entrance will be cut near the old landfill.
3. Future Agenda Items

Motion by Chairperson Johnson; Seconded by Zei. Passed unanimously at 7:48 PM.
