EAST TROY AIRPORT ADVISORY COMMITTEE MINUTES February 13, 2023 Page 1 of 2 Call Meeting to Order Roll Call: Chairperson Johnson called the meeting to order by at 7:01 p.m. Present: Chairperson Johnson, JD Schreib, Mike Starck, Kim Weckerly, and Mike Zei (Remote) Excused: Walter Watkins (arrived at 7:12 PM) Others: Sam Taber Citizen Participation  No comments Approval of Minutes  No December meeting occurred due to lack of quorum.  Motion to approve November and January minutes.  Motion by Chairperson Johnson; Seconded by Schreib. Passed unanimously. Standing and Old Business 1. Airport Manager’s Update a. Returned from vacation early February. b. Welder coming to fix the main post on the damaged gate. Coordinated with DPW Director Equitz. 2. Repairs Updates a. Tractor fuel pump repaired. b. Jet A pump is having problems. Walter is working to contact a pump repair person. c. DPW Director Equitz ordering a new man cover that was broken when DPW plowed. 3. PAPI Light Repairs by Highway Light Co. – Light repairs completed. Issue closed. 4. Water Questions – Concerns water for public restrooms (outdoor and FBO), which is fed off of well water (same well). DPW Director Equitz is aware of complaints and has assigned staff to work. Toilets fill but slowly. 5. ALP and Master Plan a. Per DPW Director Equitz on 2/3, Andy Trimble informed Director Equitz that an engineering firm has been selected (Strand). The next step is for the BOA to negotiate the scope of services and fees with Strand, which is anticipated to take “some time.” 6. Leases – Chairperson Johnson provided an update on the review of leases with legal counsel. Chairperson Johnson to follow up with the Village attorney to use standard BOA language for the legal fees clause. New Business 1.
