MINUTES VILLAGE OF EAST TROY AIRPORT ADVISORY COMMITTEE June 12, 2023 Page 1 of 2 Call Meeting to Order Roll Call: Chairperson Holm called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Present: Doug Gauger, Jim Holm, JD Schreib, Mike Starck, Kim Weckerly, and Mike Zei (phone) Others: Jason Equitz, Mike Felske, Dale Graves, Ken Kannard, Sam Taber, Sharon Taber, Colleen Weber Excused: none Citizen Participation  Ken Kannard questioned why he needed a new lease stating that his lease was automatically renewable for 20 years.  Dale Graves shared that he had been offered a five-year lease but is currently on a month-to-month lease. He expressed frustration at the process.  Mike Felske noted that some are being offered two-year leases.  Sam Taber suggested that there should be consistency in the leases and applauded the efforts to revise the current document.  Mike Felske indicated that a tentative fly-in breakfast was being discussed for September.  Colleen Weber stated that the Friends of East Troy Airport are planning to paint the runway the end of September for breast cancer awareness. They have also made arrangements for a FAA safety presentation on August 29, 2023. Approval of Minutes  5/08/2023 Minutes – Motion by Kim Weckerly; Seconded by Mike Starck. Passed unanimously. Standing and Old Business 1. Airport Manager’s Update and Repair Updates a. Airport Manager Doug Gauger provided an update on ongoing maintenance items including lighting, gate maintenance, and pending tree trimming. Kim Weckerly suggested a vending machine would be a nice addition to the FBO. b. DPW Director Equitz reported that he is optimistic that the Fuel Farm would be operational soon, perhaps by the end of the week. He indicated that he is leaning towards offering branded gas but no Swift fuel. 2. ALP and Master Plan  No update on the ALP and Master Plan. Future updates will be reported by Airport Manager Doug Gauger. 3. Snow Removal No update on snow removal. Future updates will be included in the Airport Manager’s Update. 4. Leases Kim Weckerly reported that the Lease Committee is scheduled to meet with East Troy President Johnson on Thursday to review a draft of the new lease document. New Business 1.
