MINUTES VILLAGE OF EAST TROY AIRPORT ADVISORY COMMITTEE July 10, 2023 Page 1 of 2 Call Meeting to Order Roll Call: Chairperson Holm called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. Present: Doug Gauger, Jim Holm, JD Schreib, Mike Starck, Kim Weckerly, and Mike Zei Others: Dale Graves, Scott Meisenheimer, Sam Taber, Sharon Taber, Excused: none Citizen Participation  Sam Taber mentioned the positive feedback he had received regarding the fuel farm being operational again. Approval of Minutes  6/12/2023 Minutes – Motion by Mike Starck; Seconded by JD Schreib. Passed unanimously. Standing and Old Business 1. Airport Manager’s Update Airport Manager Doug Gauger provided an update on ongoing maintenance items. A couch and chair have been ordered for the FBO. In addition, vending machines for sodas and snacks will be delivered soon. The machines are being provided on a trial basis. If the sales volume is not adequate, the machines will be replaced with a “self-service drinks and snacks” refrigerator. Friends of East Troy Airport are planning to paint the runway for breast cancer awareness on September 23rd. In the event of inclement weather, the make up day is September 24th. 2. Fuel Update Village of East Troy has signed an agreement with Titan Aviation Fuels. Titan will be providing Jet A and Aviation Gasoline 100LL. UL94 (Swift) has been discontinued. The advantages of this agreement include competitive pricing, named brand recognition, regular facility training, and quality assurance. Doug Gauger is working with Titan to update the hoses, screens, and filters. Titan will be suppling a new branded sign for the airport. 3. Leases  Kim Weckerly reported that the Lease Committee had reviewed the new lease document. He recommended that the Airport Advisory Committee approve the new lease agreement. Motion by Mike Zei; Seconded by JD Schreib. Passed unanimously. New Business 1. West Windsock Removal or Repair Doug Gauger asked the committee for input on repairing or replacing the three windsocks. The committee confirmed that all three were useful for the pilots. It was suggested that the lights on the center windsock could be brighter. 2. Discussion of grass runway The discussion of the grass runway was tabled until the September meeting.
