seconded by Kim Weckerly. The motion passed unanimously.
Standing and Old Business
1. Airport Manager’s Report
• This time of year, fuel sales are seasonally slow. Last month, 375 gallons of
Jet A and 2,000 gallons of AvGas were sold.
• The guide wheel on the north gate had fallen off and was subsequently
repaired.
• Doug has ordered new row signs for along the taxiway.
• The State installed low-flying plane signs on HWY 20, and Doug has ordered
new signs for HWY L.
• A sensor wire problem for fuel tanks caused a lost signal. Doug plans to pull
new sensor wire after the frost is out of the ground.
• After securing a contractor and pricing, the FBO exterior will be painted, and
a new door installed.
• The AWAS radio in the FBO was moved, and the interior painting was
completed. Doug will soon install a computer for the pilots.
2. Airport Covenants Update
No update. The committee has requested a break before tackling the airport covenants.
3. Snow Removal Equipment Update
Per Jason Equitz, the SRE (snow removal equipment) is out to bid with a bid opening
scheduled for March 27th.
4. Airport Layout Plan, Master Plan, and Planning Advisory Committee
The Planning Advisory Commitee’s open house went well. The consensus is that the
Master Plan is on track. Mike Starck offered suggesons and agreed to submit them in
wring to Jim Holm and Doug Gauger to share them with the Planning Advisory
Commitee.
New Business
1. Air Troy Estates Airport Airspace/Traffic Pattern Relative to 57C
Sam Tabor and Doug Gauger shared their concerns about pilot awareness of the Air Troy
Estates Airport. Several items were discussed to increase awareness, including tacking a
short segment to the AWAS message and posting a notice inside the FBO. The
Committee members were encouraged to consider the appropriate language for the
AWAS message and FBO notice. This topic will be added to the old business for the April
meeting.
Adjourn:
A motion to adjourn was made by Mike Starck and seconded by Kim Weckerly. The
motion passed unanimously at 6:50 PM.
Next Meeting: 4/14/2025 at 6:00 PM at the FBO.
Respectfully submitted,
Jim Holm, Chairperson
