EAST TROY SPECIAL VILLAGE BOARD MINUTES September 7, 2022 Page 1 of 1 Call Meeting to Order; Pledge of Allegiance Administrator verified the meeting was posted according to law. Roll Call: Acting President Johnson called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. Present: Acting President Matt Johnson, Trustees Mary Nugent, Forty Renucci, Jason Smalley and Joe Wisnewski (present but not audible) Excused: President Scott Seager and Trustee Alexander Others: Chief Swendrowski, DPW Director Equitz, Administrator Suhm All participants were present remotely via Zoom. Miscellaneous Business 1. Consideration of awarding bid for drying bed roofs DPW Equitz explained $75,000 was budgeted for this project and the project will exceed that amount. He asked the Board to consider authorizing funds from unassigned sewer utility. Motion by Trustee Renucci, second by Trustee Nugent, to approve the proposal for roofs of the drying beds with the extra to be funded from the sewer utility unassigned funds. Motion carried. 2. Consideration of approving contract public sidewalk repairs DPW Equitz explained he has had inquiries about additional sections of sidewalk and asked the Board to consider authorizing him to spend up to the budgeted amount so he can potentially add sections of sidewalk. Motion by Trustee Renucci, second by Trustee Smalley, to approve the contract and authorize DPW Equitz to spend up to the $25,000 that was budgeted. Motion carried. 3. Consideration of approving hiring of a full-time police officer Motion by Trustee Smalley, second by Trustee Renucci, to approve hiring the full-time police officer. Motion carried. Adjourn Motion by Trustee Smalley, second by Trustee Renucci , to adjourn.
