EAST TROY VILLAGE BOARD MINUTES March 8, 2024 Page 1 of 1 Call Meeting to Order; Pledge of Allegiance Clerk Alexander verified the meeting was posted according to law. Roll Call: President Johnson called the meeting to order at 1:30 p.m. Present: President Johnson, Trustees John Alexander, Jim Holm, Fortune Renucci, Jason Smalley Excused: Trustees Nugent and Wisnewski Others: DPW Director Equitz, Administrator Suhm, Clerk Alexander, Engineer Tim Lynch Miscellaneous Business 1. Consideration of recommendation to amend DNR Stewardship Grant Application Engineer Lynch reviewed his memo related to the DNR Stewardship Grant and discussed the current options available to the Village for acceptance of the grant. Discussion included flexibility of the grant funds for utilization of the grant funds, projects that may qualify, impact on budget plans, timeline for spending of Stewardship Grant funds, process for drawing funds from the grants, and reviewed of the 2024 CIP for Parks. Amending the application would begin the time period again and the progress will be monitored for DNR action and report back to the Board should additional action be required. Motion by President Johnson, second by Trustee Alexander, to submit a letter to the WI DNR rescinding the Village’s previous withdrawal and adding that the Village will include a $250,000 local match. Motion carried. The Board thanked Engineer Lynch for his initiative in reaching out to Speaker Robin Vos for assistance in this matter.
