Director Councilmember Johnson Curtis Lillquist, Planning Manager Councilmember Hepner Garren Melton, Public Works Manager Maria Holman, City Clerk 5:30 p.m. Council Workshop. Councilmember Magdoff opened the meeting. 1. Police Sergeant Garcia provided information to the Council regarding BlueBridge, a pilot charity management program. This program allows citizens to contribute funds to the Police Department that will be used for the Wenatchee Valley Pilot program. The pilot includes both Wenatchee and East Wenatchee Police Department. There is an administrative fee by BlueBridge that is capped at 15% of the contributions received. These charitable donations will allow Police Officers to provide immediate assistance to citizens in need for such services as gas, food, and lodging. We anticipate this program will build relationships with our community members. Comments by Councilmember Magdoff, Councilmember Johnson, Police Chief Johnson, and Councilmember Hepner. No Action was taken by the Council. 2. City Attorney Bob Siderius presented recommended changes to the “East Wenatchee City Council Rules of Procedure”. The City Attorney will provide a clean draft for the Council to review which will be sent via email by the City Clerk next week.
