Easthampton Board of Health Meeting Minutes March 31, 2020 50 Payson Ave., Easthampton, MA 01027 PRESENT: Maggie Hebert (MH); Jennifer Lesperance (JL): Aimee Petrosky (AP); Bri Eichstaedt (BE), Health Agent, Jackie Sienkiewicz, Recorder. Emergency Meeting held on Zoom. Motion to open A motion to open the meeting at 9:00 AM. was made by MH and seconded by AP. All in favor – 3, Opposed – 0. Public Speak Time: None ● Order for all Grocery Stores, Pharmacies, Convenient Stores and all Essential Businesses Open to the Public: The Board and BE discussed adding online or phone only payments to the order as well as curbside pick-ups or delivery only for restaurants. BE stated that a number of Easthampton businesses have contacted the office to question whether their business was essential. The Board instructed BE if their business was not listed on the Governor’s list, they should request to be added and remain closed until added. A motion was made by MH and seconded by JL to accept the Official Order of the Board of Health: Grocery Stores, Pharmacies, Convenient Stores and all other Essential Businesses Open to the Public effective immediately. All in favor: 3, opposed: 0. ● Order to prohibit the use of public and semi-public playgrounds, basketball courts, tennis courts, etc.: The Board and BE discussed the need to implement this order for the safety of the general public. A motion was made by MH and seconded by AP to approve the Official Order of the Board of Health: Closure of Public & Semi-Public Playgrounds, Basketball Courts, Tennis Courts, and Areas of Close Congregation effective immediately. All in favor: 3, opposed: 0. A motion was made by MH to adjourn the meeting; seconded by JL. All in favor: 3, opposed: 0. Meeting adjourned at 9:13 AM.
