Request for Partial Water/Sewer Bill Abatement for 12 Golden Drive Jill Landis was present for the abatement on her water/sewer bill because of a leak in her sprinkler system. July – October her water bill was significantly more than any other summer. She noticed that when she had the system shut off that her usage dropped. She would like a partial abatement for what would be over her normal usage during the summer. Greg and the board are sympathetic to her problem. The regulations are there for a reason and they must follow what is already in place. Sewer charges are calculated by how much water is used. There is not a separate Meter for sewer usage. The board went with the regulations already in place and voted not to abate any of the bill. Director’s Report Capital Plan will go before City Council on December 18th meeting. Water main brake on Union Street was fixed now the road just needs to be fixed next week. When the Union Street project happens, it should update all the water and sewer lines. Work on Mountain Road on the outfall went well and they will clean up some of the sides of the road while they have the road closed. Should have it all completed by 12-1pm on Thursday. Snow contracts are in place for vendors of salt and other treatments of the roads.
