Appointments Committee Meeting In-person meeting at 50 Payson Ave., 2ndflr Small Conference Room Meeting Minutes: April 13, 2023 Councilor Riley called the meeting to order at 6:00 pm. Members Present: Chair Councilor Riley, Councilor Gomez , Councilor Meunier Also in Attendance: Councilor Dunham , Benjamin Breger Approval of Minutes: none Public Speak Time: No members of the public present to speak. New Business: ● Mayoral Re-Appointment: Name Board/Committee Term Expiration John Casey Douglass Cultural Council April 10, 2026 Councilor Riley Explain to the committee how the cultural council appointments works Councilor Riley stated that Mr. Douglas couldn't be at the meeting due to some water and sewer issues on his business . Councilor Riley talked a little bit about all the good work Mr Douglas has done with the cultural council and other volunteer job he has done in our city . Motion was made by councilor Gomez and seconded by councilor Meunier , voted was 3-0 on favor of the re appointment Mayoral New Appointment: Name Board/Committee Term Expiration Benjamin Breger Affordable & Fair Housing Dec. 31, 2023 Partnership Benjamin was at the meeting and talked to the committee about his preview jobs , including that he was a city planner in Amherst and that he is familiar with the community preservation act .He stated he's interested in expanding the affordable housing in easthampton . Motion was made by councilor Gomez seconded by councilor Meunier . voted was 3-0 on favor Next regular meeting: TBD A motion to adjourned was made by Councilor Meunier and seconded by Councilor Gomez unanimously voted that this meeting adjourn.
