City Council Finance Committee Meeting 2/28/2024

Councilor Tom Peake, Chair
Councilor Koni Denham
Councilor Jason “JT” Tirrell
Other attendees:
Hatel Patel – City Auditor
Jessica Hebert – City Treasurer
Barbara Labombard – City Clerk
Meeting was called to order at 5:30pm
1) Approval of minutes, motion made by councilor Denham and seconded by
councilor Tirrell, motion passes 3-0.
2) Mayor’s communication – none
3) Public Speak – none
4) New business
5) Continuing business
a) Quarterly fiscal report from city auditor
b) Chartered required review of salaries for elected officials & appointed
committees: committee requested more information from the city clerk
and mayor’s office regarding surrounding communities for comparison.
There was a statement read from councilor Zaret in which he proposed
that councilor pay be raised to $7500 and the mayor to $120,000. This
statement will be taken into consideration and compared with data
attained at a future meeting.
Motion to adjourn made by councilor Tirrell and seconded by Councilor Denham, motion
passes 3-0. Meeting adjourned at 5:59pm.
