Meeting was called to order

Public Speak
There was no public speak
Engine brake proposal
Sergeant Ross was present and discussed enforcement and communication with local companies
that use a large number of trucks. He reviewed how engine brakes work. One possibility would
be to have details in areas of the city that have heavy complaints and truck traffic.
The councilors agreed that enforcement would be difficult , and that the perceived issue of
engine brakes is not necessarily the actual issue ie noise. After discussion the item was removed
without prejudice (motion Peake, second Zaret, 3-0)
The councilors did agree that a strategic enforcement plan from the police is worth ongoing
discussion
Cannabis Delivery
Councilor Zaret gave a brief summary of the proposal. The other members will review and
discussion at the next meeting
Cannabis operating hours
Opinoin received from planning and will go to public hearing on 2/3/2021
Solar in new construction
Will be moved to the planning board for joint public hearing
Next meeting 2/26/2021 at 6 PM will open with discussion of Indigenous Peoples Day, and
continue discussing cannabis delivery
Meeting adjourned at 6 PM (motion Peake, second Zaret, 3-0)
