Public safety committee meeting 7/12/22 Meeting will not be recorded due to power outage. Called to order at 6:01pm In attendance, police chief Alberti, Dave Meunier, Owen Zaret, Salem Derby, and the City Clerk. Police at polling locations: City Clerk said an officer or constable is needed if voting takes place during school hours, 2 constables minimal and one officer later in the day for the transporting of ballots. Locations to be considered is bringing it back to mountain view school or using both locations. VOTES act discussed. Committee agreed on a minimum of 2 constables per building, one police officer per building when school is in session, and one police officer per building to transport the ballot boxes. Committee approved 3-0 (Motion by Salem Derby, 2nd by Councilor Meunier Chief Alberti provided a quarterly report which will be attached . Salem Derby voiced concerns of vehicles not stopping for pedestrians at cross walks, and people using their phone while driving. Representative for the electric speeds signs could not make it. Tentative date for next meeting is August 11th at 6pm. Owen Zaret made as motion to adjurn at 7:06pm 2nd by councilor meunier
