Discussion of lowering speed limits on northampton street due to increased commercial traffic and the upcoming project near tastytop. State should not contest the petition with traffic count, due to a 10mph or less change in existing limmits. Councilor zaret mentioned that the mixture through there plays a role in the changes, and DPW Director Greg Nuttlemen stated that different intersections and commercial traffic play a part as well. Northampton street, even though a state route, we can petition the limit decrease due to large volume, Decrease the limit by 10mph across the board on that stretch would be a good idea, councilor Gomez stated. Possible public hearing could be 9/25/23 for speed limit decrease in this area. Discussion of painted lines, 20ft. no parking zone at keddey and vadnais due to visibility issues was a topic as well. A motion to remove the MT. Tom trailgead from agenda for now without predgidous was moved by Councilor Meunier and second by councilor Gomez. Approved 3-0. A motion to remove Holyoke and stonepath from agenda without predgidous was moved by councilor Meunier and seconded by Councilor Gomez, Approved 3-0.
