ECA – Public Art Subcommittee Wednesday December 16th, 2020 Meeting Minutes 5:00 Public Speak n/a Approval of November 18th minutes – Jean Pierre motioned, Jamie seconded all in approval. Tracey abstained. Updates All members of committee verbally approved the draft artist contract. Mayor LaChapelle approved the Donation Policy. Pasqualina will request that the policy be included in the Mayor’s weekly newsletter to inform the other City departments about its content. Pasqualina will try to get a Fender Bender plaque mock-up to committee before (or for) the January 20th meeting for committee feedback. Dan Murphy was made aware of the sculpture position changes that the committee requested for the next 100% phase of the Union Street Redesign project development. Bob advised that there is no need for clear coat touch-ups on Union Street bike racks. Jean Pierre advised the 01027 bike rack needs repainting and eventually a plaque. Pasqualina will contact Michael Poole for recommendation. Mass DOT Winter Shared Streets Grant proposal by ECA/EPD is due January 6, notification by February 26th. If bike racks are part of the proposal (pending Planning Dept. conversations after this meeting) committee decided to ask Michael Poole for quote on reproductions of the 01027 bike rack.
