ECA - Public Art Subcommittee Wednesday December 7th, 2022, 5:00 pm Meeting Minutes 5:15 Public Speak – n/a Approval of September 24th meeting minutes – Tracey motioned for approval and Bob seconded, all agreed. Discuss proposals for public art sculpture and next steps – The committee decided to re-release the RFP asap in January 2023. There were an insufficient number of applications received and the topic of volunteerism was not adequately addressed. Pasqualina will talk each artist, (six in all) that submitted a proposal explaining the committees concerns and ask them to reapply. A new timeline was established. The committee discussed additional PR vehicles to get the RFP to more artists. Focus on specific individuals and geographical regions, direct asks to institutions to share the call to their contacts. Pasqualina will make a shareable google doc for the committee to add ideas and contact suggestions. Removal of Union St bike rack – moved to 1/4/23 meeting New bike rack at 50 Payson Avenue- moved to 1/4/23 meeting Meeting time has been changed to the first Wednesday of the month at 5:00pm in conference room B. Next meeting Wednesday January 4th at 5:00pm
