ELLWOOD CITY BOROUGH COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING – 5:00 P.M. – COUNCIL CHAMBERS December 5, 2022 MINUTES CALL TO ORDER President George Celli called the meeting to order. ROLL CALL Present: Mr. Barry, Mr. Cragle, Ms. Dici (via phone), Ms. Lamenza, Mr. Ovial, Ms. Williams, and Mr. Celli Also Present: Borough Manager David Allen, Borough Manager Kevin Swogger, Solicitor Ed Leymarie, and Mayor Anthony Court Absent: Kaden Schlichtkrull (Jr. Councilperson) PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE ITEMS OF BUSINESS: 1. Adopt Tentative 2023 Budget/Tax Rate A motion would be in order to adopt the tentative 2023 Budget, as submitted, establishing the tax rate at 8.75 mills, and authorize the Borough Secretary to advertise the tax rate ordinance and the Budget and place it on display. RECESS MEETING A motion was made by Mr. Cragle, seconded by Ms. Williams to recess this meeting until 5pm on December 12. Roll call vote; all in favor. Motion carried.
