February 8th, 2024 – 6:30 p.m.
All agenda items shall follow protocol including staff overview, Board discussion, questions by public, Board disposition of item. The public must be recognized by the President.
I. CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL – called to order by President Gasser at 6:34pm

information from member of the public.” No action may be taken on subject matter; however items will be placed on the next meeting agenda. Please limit public comment to 3
minutes. You must sign up on the public comment and input log prior to the meeting.

a. Sheriff’s Report – Sgt. Fazio gave monthly activity report for January 2024
b. President Gasser’s Report – Newsletter being sent out in March
c. Trustee Hinkle - None
d. Trustee Johnson – Discussion about daycare being run out of home on Saratoga Ct.; Requested speed trailer on
Lathrop Ave to reduce speeders.
e. Trustee Rude – None
f. Trustee Stein - Discussion about registering rental properties with village.
g. Trustee Studey – Car Show on 9/28/2024, 9-2pm
h. Trustee Witek - Excused
i. Administrator Shaw’s Report – Bldg 5 outdoor light meters report almost ready; Hoping to get a new tenant in Bldg
5 soon; Following up with agencies about sex offender’s new primary residence to verify he no longer resides in
Elmwood Park; Tree stump removed on Elm Tree Ct and invoice sent; Hoping to update village website this year;
Taking ideas for March newsletter.

VI. OLD BUSINESS
a. Discussion about purchasing and installing speed humps in village to reduce speeding in residential areas.
Trustee Johnson to look into this in more detail; Possibly reach out to residents for their opinion.
VII. NEW BUSINESS
a. Set Dates for 2023 Open Book and Board of Review.
Open Book – April 22, 2024 from 6pm-8pm
Board of Review – May 6, 2024 from 6pm-8pm (Board of Review: Gasser, Barriere, & Stein)
Location: Village Hall
b. Discussion of additional Taylor Complex repairs & improvements with Guest Speaker: Curt Rude.
Gathering and organizing more data on this topic for next meeting for possible approval
c. Discussion of amending language of Ordinance 10.2.5.
Will work with village attorney to amend the language in ordinance for better clarity and understanding.
d. Resolution Approval of Accounts Payable.
Motion to approve by Stein; 2nd by Johnson; No discussion.
