MABE Meeting Minutes July 26, 2022 In Attendance: Absent: Others in Attendance: Darrell Gibble Lori Sifford, Excused John Dean, EEMA Steve Keech Stephen Kalis, Fox Rothschild Dave Friedman, EEMA Floyd Jennelle Jack Stewart, Borough Council Jim Freeze Keith Showalter, Systems Design Engineering Charlotte Gehman Meeting called to order at 7:00p Approve Minutes of June 28, 2022, Board Meeting – Motion by Jim to approve the June 28, 2022, meeting minutes as presented. Second by Darrell. Motion approved. Public Comment Correspondence/Communication Operator’s Report Average daily flow of 108,000 gallons per day in June. Continuing to increase the PAC feed to address the phosphorus levels causing a violation in June. Currently meeting limits. Repaired the sludge return valve on basin one. PA One calls DynaTech Recommended Improvements – Motion by Darrell to approve repairs to generators not to exceed $1000.00. Second by Jim. Motion approved. Equipment Inventory List Update – John is nearing completion of the list and plants to put it in an excel document. He anticipates some recommendations for purchases. Steve requests that EEMA continue to seek out an aluminum I-beam for lifting. Steve also inquired about the pump run times for Corbett. Operators will switch the pumps to see if that balances things any better. Engineer’s Report ARPA Grant Application – No feedback yet on the awards from the County. PA Small Water & Sewer Grant Bid Update – Keith has not gotten this out to bid yet. Grant award expires in June 2013, but Keith feels sure we can get an extension. Blue Rock Project – Deed of Dedication is still in process. Easement Plans/Right of Way Project Solicitor’s Report Blue Rock Escrow Closure – No report. Lotharlish Deed of Dedication – No report. Old Business None New Business None Treasurer’s Report Approval of July payables per Check Register presented. Motion by Jim to approve payables as presented. Second by Darrell. Motion approved.
