Mayor Robertson – Discussion/For Possible Action – Annual Performance Evaluation of City Building Official Craig Peterson including, but not limited to consideration of character, alleged misconduct, professional competence, or physical or mental health. Possible action includes, but is not limited to, termination, suspension, demotion, reduction in pay, reprimand, promotion, endorsement, engagement, retention, increase in pay or “no action.” 2. Mayor Robertson – Discussion/For Possible Action – Acceptance of Bill Wolf’s resignation from the City Tree Board effective September 13, 2022. 5. Councilman Carson – White Pine County Tourism Director Kyle Horvath – Discussion/For Possible Action – Approval of Resolution 2022-10 to ratify the approval of the Ely Renaissance Society Mural Selection Committee for placement of a new mural on 1240 East Aultman Street. 6. Councilman Carson – Discussion/For Possible Action – Approval to release a Request for Qualifications for engineering services OR renew the City of Ely’s contract with Basin Engineering. 7. Councilman Carson – Discussion/For Possible Action – Direct City Attorney to revise Ely City Code Title 4 Chapter 2 Garbage and Refuse to incorporate current policy and practices and make other necessary changes throughout. 8. Councilman Spear – Councilman Alworth – Discussion Only – Update on Porter Group efforts on the City of Ely’s behalf to secure federal and State funding. 9. Councilman Alworth – Human Resources Director Trask – City Attorney Cahoon - Discussion/For Possible Action – Presentation of the plan to transition the Public Works Supervisor position to a Public Works Director position, with possible direction to initiate said transition. 10. Councilman Alworth – Discussion/For Possible action – Adoption of the Ely Redevelopment District Façade Improvement Incentive Program. 11. Councilman Alworth – Discussion/For Possible Action - Approve support letters for White Pine Main Street’s T Mobile Hometown Revitalization Program and the E.L. Cord Foundation grant applications in support of funding the Ely Redevelopment District Façade Improvement Incentive Program. 12. Councilwoman Williams-Harper – Discussion/For Possible Action – Approval of Wireline Crossing Agreement by and among Nevada Northern Railway Foundation, Inc., the City of Ely, Nevada, and Beehive Telephone, Inc. 13. (2) A public body may close a meeting upon a motion, which specifies the nature of the business to be considered. (3) This chapter does not: (a) Apply to judicial proceedings. (b) Prevent the removal of any person who willfully disrupts a meeting to the extent that its orderly conduct is made impractical. (c) Prevent the exclusion of witnesses from a public or private meeting during the examination of another witness. (d) Require that any meeting be closed to the public. (e) Permit a closed meeting for the discussion of the appointment of any person to public office or as a member of a public body. (4) The exception provided by this section, and electronic communication, must not be used to circumvent the spirit or letter of this chapter in order to discuss or act upon a matter over which the public body has supervision, control, jurisdiction or advisory powers.
