Call to order time: 6:30 pm 2. Roll Call: i. Mike Katyryniuk, Heidi Short, Scott Charles, Dennis Buck, Tracy Colburn in attendance. ii. Eric Schmidt absent 3. Housekeeping: i. EPHAB needs to be distinctive from the historical society on the town website. i) Solution to add a link that would be titled specific to the Historical Advisory Board… ? Dennis Buck to look into. ii. SharePoint Space – i) We need more memory on our page. Dennis Buck to look into. 4. Approval agenda - approved 5. Approval of minutes – July 2020 minutes- approved 6. Public Comment on Non-Agenda Items – n/a 7. Old Business – i. 2020 Audit report – approved to send audit questionnaire to Erica. ii. Budget report – MH not in attendance. No updates. iii. We have one homeowner that has returned the application for the Historical Plaque 434 Holbrook, still waiting on 574 Holbrook’s response. iv. 16 properties to be surveyed in 2021, phase 2. v. Learn more about future plans for the pillars at Arapahoe and 287 vi. Eagle Mine – landmarking – Erie owns the land, we are still finding out if we could possibly move the elevator, and get it landmarked. The idea has been presented to the BOT. We can do a walk around – post as a meeting. Dennis will post as a study session. vii. Ordinance Update – Scott Charles – Copied the ordinance from the town website. Member count was already updated. Board to review sections 3.2.2 thoroughly, and review the ordinance in entirety for any feedback that is needed. All comments back by September 4th, 2020 please. Once approved, History Colorado to review, to our town attorney, then submitted as our new ordinance. viii. Gerosa Farms – study session was done with Mike Katyryniuk, Heidi Short, Tracy Colburn. This farm is trying to be annexed into the town of Erie, and landmarked historical. i) The board wants to advise the BOT to strongly consider the annexation of Gersoa Farms. ii) The homeowners DO NOT wish to apply for a commercial zoning. iii) The homeowners wish to have an agriculture zoning. iv) Three structures. One barn built in 1850, a barn built in 1911, and the first silo erected in Boulder County in 1911. v) If Annexed into Erie, the homeowners will donate an easement along the east side of the property to have access to the open space. ix. GIS mapping – Dennis has found an application that would work on cell phones through an app that would show all the information on the historical places in Erie. We will be getting a demonstration in the next few meeting. 8. New Business Board Reports i. Everyone is compliant on the internet security training. ii. We have three applicants to consider. i) Scott Charles and a town staff person reached out to all three applicants. We are asking the BOT to approve Michael Turner as a EPHAB board meeting, and we are requesting the attendance of the other two applicants to attend our next board meeting. ii) Notification to homeowners on property condition. Tracy Colburn 9. Review of Nominations Non-Presented i. Staff/Designated commissioner Presentation – City Hall WIFI – We are still trying to find other locations to add WIFI on the Bell Tower. Can the town look into more options? Also looking into possibilities of adding it to an electrical pole, or erecting a pole on an existing easement. ii. Owner Presentation iii. Public Comment iv. Mike Katyryniuk found a file that shows all older surveys that were completed. This file was lost for a long time. All property owners need to be reached and see if they want the historical landmark on their homes.
