Wastewater will go to a different system at somepoint that will create high quality bio-solids, rather than expanding the existing system. Our goal is to make it available to the public. It will likely take a few years. We want to work with the landfill or town owned property to create a compost center. - leaf composting would be supported. - community composting would be something to put the new person on. - electric vehicles. We bought one last year and are buying one next year. So that is already in progress. - large portion of budget from this year still available, majority allocated to leaf composting. Communications Update (Berenice) - Meeting with Amber next week to discuss how to target and promote more on social media, water bills, with HOAs. - Want to promote food awareness week. - Also working with Luke to promote green business and working with PACE. - ONE (organizing neighborhoods of Erie) meetings with HOAs, next meeting will likely focus on xeriscaping. Bot Study Session notes (Jeff) At the BoT study session CC4CA presented similar presentation previously given to the SAB. BoT will consider this at a future meeting. Lotus presented a Master Plan update. Community Co-Op Solar (JP & Adam) - Outside organization works as a liason between community members and solar companies to organize a group of residents to then create RFPs from solar companies to determine what is valuable to get lower prices for solar installations – 10-30% reductions for those members. Fairly small cost to sign up for it. Mostly funded via grants with small sign up costs. Trustee Liaison Report None Staff Report Todd Fessenden – 2 big things: Position for sustainability and water conservation closed last night with approx. 45 applicants. Hydro turbans at the water plant. BoT approved 136K in design. We have applied for grant for design and construction. Old Business Master Plan Updates Solar Days Event JP – Attended the meeting on Community Co-Op Solar. This weekend there is a solar homes tour. Leaf Composting Update Saturday November 2 and November 17 (Sunday) 9-3, will have 2 shifts on each. Eco Cycle will have 1 drop of 4 bins on Monday the 18, the town will load and then have 1 pickup. Between tree board and us we need 6-8 people. Monali would like to have an educational seminar 2-3 weeks ahead of that. Would be good to create a flier for inclusion with water bills. Tom is yet to send a contact to ecocycle. Earth Week Anna will volunteer to research the Earth Week designation and try to bring for next meeting or email advance. New Business Native Plant/Low Irrigation UDC Updates and Town Recommendations (vote on recommendations) Board reviewed recommendations and voted to approve recommendations.
